No one marries intending the end be divorce. When people seek our services, they are at their worst, both emotionally and financially. It is my job to alleviate some of that anxiety, by helping you traverse the complex court system, strategize optimal outcomes, and assist bringing this chapter of your life to its conclusion.

While pursuing my law degree at Capital University Law School in Columbus, Ohio, I focused a considerable amount of my time practicing negotiation, mediation, and other means of alternative dispute resolution. I mediated for Franklin County Court of Common Pleas where I helped many parties navigate their issues, helped them communicate their concerns, and ultimately brainstorm solutions. Prior to joining the Barr Jones team, I spent several years working for a major bank where I refined my financial, and investigative skills. I also devoted a year as a VISTA (Volunteer in Service to America), at Transylvania University, focusing my attention on student volunteer efforts, urban blight, and childhood education. This experience helped me learn to step outside of my comfort zone, see issues from an alternative lens, and to focus on the heart of the problem and not the symptoms.

My legal approach is to hope for the best but prepare for the worst. No one wants to be blindsided if negotiations do not go as planned. I take pride in keeping my clients informed at every step of their case and providing them with open and honest communication.
